NRI is the leader in the development and manufacture of moisture:curable and epoxy composites for the retrofit and reinforcing of defects and anomalies in pressure equipment and piping as well as large concrete structures. Responsibilities will include:
Conceptual, preliminary and detailed component solid modeling and design.
Apply finite element analysis, and analytical methods to optimize and validate new and existing products.
Applies engineering principles, practices, and follows development execution procedures to take a design through the product development life cycle.
Coordinate product design for compliance with engineering principles, customer requirements, and related specifications.
Supports the development of business requirements for new product and enhancements to existing products
Collaborating with other employees in problem solving, brainstorming, and process improvement
Performing test in compliance with regulatory procedures.
Assist with material product testing and performance validation.
Direct project approach, research methodology,
experiments/trials, and proper status documentation for report and closure.
Complete assigned tasks within allotted time frame and communicate proactively when issues are encountered or deadlines cannot be met.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university, EIT/FE preferred.
Must have knowledge in commercial Finite Element Analysis codes such as ANSYS is a plus
Be familiar with performing piping and composite design analysis using strain:based approaches
Familiarity with mechanics of materials, fracture mechanics, and failure prevention.
Some exposure to working with composite materials.
A candidate with the knowledge of Tensile testing, DSC, DMTA, TGA, Accelerated aging testing, and testing under cyclic loading will be considered have an advantage.
Must be fluent in English, have good writing skills, and be able to communicate clearly.
The candidate must be able to use MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook). The ability to respond quickly in a fast:paced environment is desired.
Availability to begin employment within 30 days.
Self:starter, having the ability to generate innovative designs, with engineering discipline and attention to detail, striving for flawless execution.
