Position will be located at our facility in West Palm Beach, FL. This position may be filled at this level posted or one level higher.This position requires knowledge and experience with rocket engine combustion devices hardware design and development, manufacturing processes, and vendor integration. Tasks include development of trade studies, design concepts, systems integration and component: and engine:level test plans. Hardware includes injectors, combustion chambers, nozzles, igniters. Under the general supervision of a Lead Engineer, the Engineer determines approaches to objectives demonstrating a complete understanding and application of engineering principles, concepts, and practices. 25 : Development and production fabrication support of rocket engine components. Translates engineering and scientific concepts from preliminary ideas through entire product life cycle. 25 : Supplier integration with external vendors. 20 : Interfaces with other members of project or program teams, management, and technical staff to provide coordination of technical, schedule and cost solutions to team objectives. 20 : Analyzes and verifies product design and performance for adequacy and reliability. Supports investigation and resolution of hardware and process anomalies and issues identified by preventative action/corrective action boards or safety initiative activities. 10 : Develops trade studies, design concepts, systems integration and component:level test plans.Requires a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field and 2+ years of experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience). U.S. Citizenship only required. Dual citizenship does not meet job requirements. Experience with liquid rocket propulsion systems desired. Experience working an equivalent engineering design/development environment is desired. Work Environment and Physical Requirements:Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds; may require minimal walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat.
