STARTING SALARY: 1,486.92 Bi:weekly. (In accordance with current spending restrictions, an internal promotion into the position will be filled at the minimum of the pay grade or up to 5 of the employees current rate, whichever is higher.)

This is a highly responsible position within the Office of Inspector General. The incumbent is responsible for conducting detailed management reviews of allegations and systematic issues against program areas and personnel within the Department of Juvenile Justice.
The position requires independent judgment in the performance of duties and responsibilities.
The incumbent is required to travel throughout the state and, therefore, is required to have a valid drivers license.
Conducts and documents management reviews for all areas within the Department of Juvenile Justice in accordance with established policies and procedures and within established timeframes.
Investigates, assesses, analyzes and makes recommendations to resolve issues and problems presented by administrators.
Provides training and consultation as necessary, in the area of incident reporting and investigative reviews.
Attends all mandatory training associated with the task required of this position.
Performs all other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES OF THIS POSITION:
Collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document work flow and other activities relating to the improvement of operational and management practices.
Organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents and other written materials.
Conduct fact:finding research.
Utilize problem:solving techniques.
Understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to operational and management analysis activities.
Plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES WITH THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE:
At least three years of direct care experience working with juvenile offenders in a Detention, Residential, Probation and/or Prevention setting.
At least three years experience with conducting DJJ Management Reviews (formerly known as Administrative Reviews), Program Reviews, internal investigations or monitoring assessments.
Certified by the Office of Inspector General to conduct Management or Program Reviews.
Experience with DJJ program/facility evaluation and/or monitoring.
Specialized training relative to conducting reviews/investigations.
Experience and/or knowledge of Protective Action Response (PAR).
Experience with the Juvenile Justice Information System (JJIS).
Experience and interactions with the Central Communications Center.
