Our renewable energy facility is the largest of its kind in North America and provides clean energy that powers our sugar operations and tens of thousands of homes, which helps us reduce our use of fossil fuels.POSITION SCOPEReporting to the Central Master Data Manager, the CMDM Analyst will work with attribute data related to finished products on a global level; specifically data that falls under GS1 standards, which includes but is not limited to: Standards for identification of items, locations, shipments, assets and associated data. Standards for encoding and capturing data in physical data carriers such as bar codes and RFID tags. Standards for sharing data between parties (EDI, IDOC, XML). The CMDM Analyst will be responsible for collecting, sorting, and studying different sets of information. Such data may be housed in a variety of databases either existing, or not yet implemented, to include SAP, PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), PIM (product information Management), QM (Quality Management) as well as various other outside or third-party systems that perform the same functions. The CMDM Analyst will work with the Finished Product Coordinators to identify and remediate gaps in the data and promote GS1 Standards. The CMDM Analyst will publish reports, which track and enforce compliance of data governance and participate in the development and presentation of plans and strategies to leadership to gain their support and concurrence in procedures, processes, and metrics involved in data governance efforts.DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Executes the Corporate Master Data model for finished products to comply with external (GS1) and internal standards. Transfer and translate technical details from our own New Product Development teams, Packaging Engineers, Sales, and Marketing into various applications, both internal and external. Coordinate with Finished Product Coordinators to ensure accuracy and completeness of both internal (from Sales, QA or Production) and external data requests (from Customers). Execute changes in data in other areas impacted as a result of standardization, elimination of duplicates, changes to specifications, etc. (Artwork, Pallet dimensions, Nutritional changes etc.) Monitor and approve finished product requests in SAP MDG (Master Data Governance) system. Track and manage progress of GDSN related data request projects from various customers, with ability to report regularly on progress. Implementation of approved and validated requests in the master data computer system (eg SAP, PLM, PIM and synchronization with external systems as required) Regularly monitor and analyze Data Synchronization error reports. Troubleshoot and rectify data synchronization errors. Interpret and apply GS1/GDSN Standards for the resolution of identified data issues. Communicates with the user community any global changes to master data files. Develops and continually maintains a classification and attribute/characteristic system used in the detailed definition of products - whether in SAP, PLM, PIM or all of the above.ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES) Analytical Skills - Ability to analyse information and make deductions based on available data sets.
