Patient Coordinator Summary: Operates multiline telephone system to answer incoming calls and performs the following duties: Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Ability to establish and maintain positive relations with patients and co-workers to promote a professional image through patient satisfaction and a high quality of care provided by Sage Dental Group. Ability to respond to patient complaints and concerns with professionalism and courtesy. Ability to organize work flow, prioritize tasks, and perform multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to apply knowledge base to incoming questions and complaints and to assimilate new information and procedural changes quickly and efficiently. Greets and welcomes patients in a friendly and professional manner Answers all incoming calls with a smile, and consistently provides friendly and professional phone etiquette Schedules new and existing patient appointments utilizing practice management software (Dentrix). Performs data entry and updates necessary information for new and existing patient accounts utilizing dental software. Follows 3 day schedule audit and confirmation protocol. Verifies patient eligibility and benefit coverage for patients with dental insurance Confirms all appointments by telephone 48 hours prior to the patient's appointment. Must maintain 90% show rate. Collects appropriate fees for patient treatment by following Collection Protocol. Must maintain 95% OTC rate. Performs data entry for patient charges and posts payments utilizing dental software. Creates and edits Patient Family Files. Reviews all information from new patient registration or annual update forms to ensure it is accurate and complete; enter all information into family file. Educates patients on office policies. Performs daily close out procedures. Maintains front office and reception area appearance. Informs patients if waiting longer than 10 minutes past appointment time. Perform other duties from time to time as assigned. Patient Coordinator Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Certificates and Licenses: No certifications needed. Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
