Job Description Description Hiring, Controller. Located in central Palm Beach County we are a successful Commercial landscape design contractor. The Controller will have experience working with a construction contractor and will be the senior accounting position reporting to the owner. Prepares and reviews Financial Statements for all projects. Provides analysis of budget to actual comparatives to owners. Assist external auditors and tax accountants with research and preparation of required operating and partnership audits and tax returns. Prepare detailed annual operating and capital budgets on projects. Manage cash accounts to maintain cash requirements and self-escrow for annual insurance and tax obligations. Work with Treasury management level software including sending wires, creating ACH debits. Handle intercompany transactions in banking software. Analyze and maintain the general ledger to ensure accuracy of coding and costs. Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable for all projects. Bank reconciliations monthly for all projects Coordination of information among accounting department Prepare monthly financial reports to meet lending requirements& send to lenders. Monthly and yearly financial close. Preparation of 1099s at year end. Payroll and Human resources management (Paychex) software. Strong attention to detail, both in technical (accounting) work and in task management, follow-ups Job Requirements Knowledge & Skill Requirements Undergraduate accounting degree Minimum 7 years of commercial construction Accounting experience Strong general ledger experience to include account reconciliation Experience in financial accounting - analytical and finance skills are also desirable QuickBooks experience required. Excel skills, financial statement analysis and preparation of pro forma operating statements Strong attention to detail - both technical (accounting) work and in task management, follow-ups Must be able to work in fast paced environment and effectively manage multiple projects Strong written and oral communication skills.
